The legendary Beatles band originated in 1959 in the UK, in the city of Liverpool. The very first line-up of the group included Paul McCartney (bass, guitar, vocals), John Lennon (guitar, vocals), George Harrison (guitar, vocals), Stuart Sutcliff (bass), Pete Best (drums).
At first, the group was known only in Liverpool, then, when in 1960 the musicians left for Germany, they were attracted to the attention of Tony Sheridan, who at that time was a very famous rock and roll performer. Together with The Beatles, Sheridan recorded the studio album Tony Sheridan and The Beatles. It was then that in the creative biography of The Beatles the first serious debut at the international level took place.

In connection with the 20th anniversary of the album “The Bends” John Harris recalls the difficult story of the creation of Radiohead’s masterpiece.
It was February 1994, and Radiohead had two minor problems: Britain and America. Oasis was quite successful in their homeland, and their Blur label mates were preparing to release Parklife. What we now know as Brit pop was gaining momentum at that time, and the five outsiders of the indie rock from Oxford had no idea what to do with all this.
